Scrub from anywhere
The playhead stands still; the film moves. Drag anywhere in the dark area below the filmstrip, in either direction, and the take glides under the playhead while the timecode counts along. No tiny handle to aim for; the whole lower half of the screen is your scrub strip.
Slow down before you let go and the film stops exactly where you meant it to.
Hop the cuts
The jump buttons beside play land the playhead exactly on the previous or next cut, every time. Building a rhythm of jump cuts? You can audition each seam in seconds without scrubbing to find it.
Step single frames
Hold a jump button down and the playhead walks frame by frame instead. That is how you land a split, a still frame, or a trim on the exact frame you want.
Tap for the cut, hold for the frame. The two speeds cover everything between them.
Scrub from anywhere
