Share the cut, keep the original

Editing in QCam never forks your files. The library plays your cut in place, sharing asks which version you mean, and the raw take stays whole underneath.

  1. Spot the badge

A clip with a saved cut wears a red EDITED badge, in the library grid and on its detail page. Tap play on the hero and it plays your cut in place: the trims, the grade, exactly what the editor shows.

  2. Share, and say which one

Tap the share button and QCam asks the honest question: Share Edited Video or Share Original Video. Your edit and your raw take are both always there; you never overwrote anything.

  3. The cut renders on the spot

Choose the edited version and a Preparing Video card renders your cut fresh, then hands the finished file to the iOS share sheet, named after your clip with -edit on the end. Save it, send it, post it; the original in your library never changes.

Revert to Original in the editor un-does the whole cut any time. The badge disappears and the take is back to the day you shot it.

Spot the badge

One file in, two possibilities out: the cut you made, or the take as it was. QCam keeps both real, and lets you choose at the moment it matters, when you share.
