One take, every frame
Shoot once on the square sensor, then choose the frame in the editor: square for the feed, 4:5 for the grid, the full tall frame for Shorts. The original stays whole.
Open Aspect
In the editing room, tap Aspect. The frame chips line up: ORIG · 1:1 · 4:5 · 4:3 · 16:9 · 21:9. This is where a take decides what it wants to be after the fact.
The room to reframe comes from shooting on the square front sensor of the iPhone 17 generation. Every side has spare picture.
Try frames on
Tap through the chips and the window re-shapes live around your take: 4:5 tightens it for the grid, 21:9 goes dramatic, 16:9 gives the full tall phone-screen frame. Hold on each one long enough to feel it; nothing commits until you confirm.
Fill it and place it
A square take sits inside the tall frame with room to spare, so pinch until it fills the window. A composition grid fades in while you work. Then drag to put the framing where it belongs and confirm with the check. The editor plays the tall frame from now on, and your original stays whole; come back tomorrow and pick a different frame.
Frame for the eyes. In a tall window, put them a third from the top and the shot instantly looks intentional.

One recording, several destinations. Square for the feed today, the tall frame for Shorts tonight, and the take itself never gets touched.
